About Me
- Progressive Teachers
- Who we are: We are a group of activist, former UTR Executive Board members, active dues-paying UTR teachers in elementary, middle and high schools, and retired teachers. We came together eight years ago because of experiences with a UTR leadership that was not guided by principles of democracy, union activism, and inclusion. We are committed to providing a forum for the diverse viewpoints of UTR members and raising community awareness of public education issues. Some of us are at-large members in the CFT, California Federation of Teachers, and consult with CFT on leadership training and development.
